SL1DE are a new not for profit company based at the Enterprise Hub located within the learning resource centre at Thames Valley University in Slough, Berkshire. It is concieved and run by film makers for film makers, to get good value access to good quality film making kit.

We offer affordable filmmaking equipment to local artists, with discounted rates for non-profit community groups, and further discounts for students, recent graduates and the unemployed. You need to beome a member of SL1DE to hire the facilities.

We offer a variety of digital video cameras, including Canon's XL-H1 and XL1 alongside all the basics you'll need such as tripods, lighting and sound equipment. We also have mobile and in-house dry hire post production facilities to hire.

• We do not require large credit card deposits to hire our kit. Only small cash deposits upon collection are necessary, making hire more accessible to those on small or no incomes.
• We accept cash payment of hire, making it easy for those without banking facilities to use our equipment.
• Pre-assembled filming/editing/sound packages making it easier to pick out the equipment for your project.
